U.S. Marines participate in a week long marksmanship qualification consisting of table one and table two at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Arizona.
Marine Corps Combat Marksmanship Doctrine forms the basis for Combat Marksmanship Training. The objective of marksmanship training is to develop, sustain, and improve individual combat shooting skills. The qualification standards and course of fire is designed to develop fundamentals of combat marksmanship. The overall execution of the Combat Marksmanship Program is to develop the Marine’s ability to employ the service rifle and service pistol effectively.
