USMC Recruits meet the drill instructors responsible for transforming them into Marines on Parris Island, S.C.

As stated in the pledge, drill instructors promised to train their recruits to the best of their abilities and to not give up on them, even when the recruits may give up on themselves.

This is the first time the recruits meet the drill instructors who will train them for the next 12 weeks of boot camp.
